Name of this site? Shaws Cove (Laguna Beach) (Shore Entry)
Conditions Expected: 1 - 2 ft surf, 4 - 6 swell (maybe a little choppy swimming out), Low tide moving to High tide at 1:00 AM. We have about 20 ft viz last week only a few days after the big storm them maybe will get lucky again. Temperature cold about 49 degrees. When to dive this site?

N/NW Swell / Surf 2 ft or less (see surf-forecast)
(Best at slack tide)

How to dive the site?

Reef on the right side of the cove, kelp forest on the back side of the reef.

Points of Caution?
Do not get too close to tide pools or rocky areas. Especially the crevice during high to moderate surge /high swell conditions

What you will see?
Sculpin, Lobsters, Eels, Sand bass, some Sheep head, Scallops, garibaldi

What you can take?
Laguna Marine Protected Area, not allowed to take any marine life.

Another intense week for surf and swell this weekend. Anyone go out there get some pictures and video of this. Here is the forecast: GUSTS TO 35 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. COMBINED SEAS 8 TO 11 FT... BUILDING TO 12 TO 15 FT IN THE AFTERNOON.

Get out and dive with us as the conditions will probably be screwed up for the upcoming weekend so this will be a chance to get wet this week.
