Morning Divers,
Last week we had 7 divers go for a dive and had a fun time exploring and finding lots of critters. This week the conditions are looking even better. This email means it’s time to start getting your gear together, inspected, and tanks filled so you can come out and have more good times with your dive buddies.
 
Last night I got to goto a VIP showing of the Aquarium of the Pacific’s new Shark Summer. Most of you know how fun the aquarium can be just to go and check things out. Well, last night was very cool because the animals were all awake and having a good time. Even the cow-nose rays were chasing each other and playing tag in the tropical pool and the sea lions were playing games with the visitors, like they do with us underwater. The reason that I was there is that there is a new movie being shown called Shark Smart: Restoring Order in the Ocean. The Roddenberry Dive Team helped sponsor this well done documentary that should be a real eye opener for all those guests that don’t live in the ocean as much as us divers. There is also a cool showing of the aquarium sharks and rays that is projected onto the walls of the Great Hall. If you, or your friends and families, are into sharks and rays then you will definately want to stop by to check things out.
 
Have I given you enough reason to come out and go diving this weekend? If not, how about if I toss in some free food. That’s right, SOCDC and LSD are joining forces for Konrad’s Sausage Fest. Come on guys, get your minds a little above the gutter and check out the menu.
 
We will have drinks, so just find parking, and bring lots-o-quarters (Or your Credit Cards)!

Now you know the plan, we’ll meet at the usual spot in the back of the Pavilions parking lot to choose our dive site. Then, after we’re done things should be going good at the BBQ, just in time for some tasty lunch. Also, I have talked to some divers that are planning on making another dive after lunch, so you can either bring more tanks with you, or stop at Laguna Sea Sports to get a fill after the dive. Now go get your gear together for another great weekend of good times, above and below the surface!!
