Come dive with us and help preserve our Historical Geneva Lake. Sponsored by Lockwood Pioneer Scuba Museum in Loves Park, IL. Sign up and dive off shore from 8:00 am Saturday April 18, 2009 at the Fontana Wisconsin Public Beach. Plenty of free parking available. We’ll have hot drinks for you, and a place to get warm. There are restraunts within walking distance. Chuck’s by the Sea is one of them. Prizes drawings will be at 1:00pm for the most garbage collected, the strangest object, and the most valuable object. Raffle will be offered and all proceeds will go towards the restoration of the mystery 166mm films taken by the late Jim Lockwood. the unopened cannisters of film may contain historical footage of Scuba Diving from 1948, and a donation will also be given to the Geneva Lake Water Safety Patrol. Bring a dive flag, it is the law on Lake Geneva. An Open House will be held during the dive for any non-divers and after the clean-up dive at Lockwood Pioneer Scuba Museum. The museum will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for you to enjoy seeing Jim Lockwood’s invention of the re-breather for teh Navay along with rare scuba gear and shipwreck artifacts. It is about a 45 minute drive from Fontana, WI. A movie will be shown at the museum at 4:00 pm along with refreshements and snacks.
