Free Dive Computer Seminar
Sat, April 11, 2009
Chantilly, VA
Few pieces of equipment have revolutionized how we dive more than dive computers. Today you can pretty well divide divers into to categories:
- Knowledgeable divers who own their own dive computers and rely on these devices as the primary dive planning and recording tool.
- Novices and less-than-serious dives who don’t own computers and who are supposed to be using dive tables to plan dives — but inevitably end up trusting to luck.
Dive computers are more feature-packed — and more affordable — than ever. Given their high level of reliability and the significant increase in bottom time they provide, it’s foolish
not to own one. The bottom line is, there is no such thing as a serious diver who willingly chooses not to use a dive computer.
So why doesn’t every certified diver own a computer? Lack of understanding may be one reason. That’s why, on April 11, Henry Johnson will be conducting a free seminar on what today’s dive computers can do for you. Henry will cover a variety of topics, including:
- How dive computers work and what they can and cannot do.
- Why using dive computers makes vastly more sense than relying on dive tables.
- New features that make today’s dive computers vastly better than their predecessors.
This seminar is not limited to divers who do not yet own computers.
- If you own a computer, but do not fully understand it, this seminar is for you.
- If you own a computer, but are considering upgrading to a newer model, this seminar is for you.
The seminar begins at noon and will last approximately two hours. There is no cost to attend; however, so that we can adequately prepare, you must pre-register. You can do so in person or on line.
