This olympic whitewater river becomes a series of relaxed pools when TVA stops water releases during the week. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Each weekend hundreds of whitewater rafters and kayakers brave this river and inevitably, things get lost. Diving this section of the river is probably your best bet. There is a pull off at goforth creek where you can gear up and leave the car. Carry your gear down to the creek and under the bridge to the river where you can simply walk into the water and go searching for your next treasure.
