I went scuba diving here on 6/29/2018. Average viz: Under 5ft/2m. Water temp: 71-75°F/22-24°C.
Deepwater dive with Big Island Divers. Middle of the night, 3 miles off the shore, you see lots of creatures that you do not see during the day! You need to do this dive once, the experience is amazing! You are tied to the boat with a rope .. but the water depth where you are is 5,000 ft+

You’d think there wouldn’t be much to see hanging 40-60 feet in 2000-ft deep ocean water in the middle of the night but there are a lot of creatures big and small swimming around out there. Very cool.
