KEOWEE: Lake Keowee is the third lake in succession of lakes built by Duke Power Co. Keowee has Visibility that ranges from 8 feet to 30 feet dependant on season and weather. Unique drift diving in a lake environment provided by the power plant and a three story building in 80 feet of water offers training locations not expected in a lake.

The three-story brick Pump House, which served as the water treatment plant for the town of Seneca, sits in 80 feet of water and offers door and window openings for divers and fish to swim through.

The Bouy marking the pump house has been detached, anyone interested in making a dive to re-mark it?

I went scuba diving here on 9/20/2014. Average viz: 5-10ft/2-3m. Water temp: 66-70°F/19-21°C.

Very low visibility as there is a large amount of silt.
