Upper Brewers Mills is a shore accessible fresh water dive site, located in Kingston, ON, Canada. This dive site has an average rating of 2.00 out of 5 from 2 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 26-30ft/8-9m. The average visibility is 16-20ft/5-6m.

This site is shallow but is ice free year round. Entrance exit is by the wooden bridge. The water is warmer as it is down river from a small hydro electric dam. Most be aware of the current here at times as well as boat traffic when the Rideau locks system is operational. There was a store grist mill and other structures here over the years. The potential to find stuff is here.

I went scuba diving here on 1/11/2014. Average viz: 11-15ft/3-5m. Water temp: Under 50°F/10°C.
This site offers the only open water around Kingston at this time of year. Today’s dive was conducted after a night of rain (which persisted during entry preparations). Consequently, the current running through the bowl was strong. Visibility was good below about 15 feet, but less than 2 feet above this level. No creatures seen. Entry and exit quite straightforward.
