This is an easy entry point for shore diving. Easy access, close to local dive shops. Sea like abundant and more coral than I thought. God depths fairly quick, other spots you travel further for diving depths.

One of the easiest entry/exit points along the sea wall. Wide steps lead to shallow sandy/gravel bottom, sheltered by concrete jacks. Popular with dive instructors for new diver certifications & consistently good visibility & sea life (although heavily fished, snorkeled, dived & otherwise exposed to human influence).

Sbug - 8/14/2016 5:32 AM Rating Added: 3 I did my DM training in Sunabe. The Seawall is full of Soft Coral, definitely one of the most condensed Soft Coral in Okinawa island. Winter diving in Sunabe is great, visibility can be 40-50m, Water temp around 21-22C. However, water will become pretty murky in the summer time. Water is warm, 29-30c from Jun to Sept.

JulieH67 - 9/01/2014 11:21 PM I went scuba diving here on 7/26/2014. Average viz: 11-15ft/3-5m. Water temp: Over 85°F/29°C. Shore dive with big waves, surge, and surf. Faded coral, low vis, Nudibranch, Rockfish. Had serious buoyancy issues again. First time without wetsuit. Not enough weight. Exhaustive fight entire dive. Exit had huge waves picked me up like rag doll and tossed me across steps. Bruised, scraped, cut, sore, exhausted. Not a good dive for me. Tess and Larry had some trouble as well.
