There is a parking area
The Conestoga is a great shore dive and is often busy on weekends in the summer. The entrance is easy and you drift with the current onto the wreck. The hull, boilers, and stack remain. The stack can be seen sticking out of the water when approaching the site. You drift along the wreck to the large prop, then make your way through the ship back up against the current. There is lots to grab onto and see, however use caution as there are a lot snags as well. This is a great relaxing dive, and is a good dive to do in a day along with Lock 21 aproximately 20 minutes East, and the Rothsay 20 minutes to the west on Hwy 2.
