I went scuba diving here on 9/28/2013. Average viz: 61-70ft/19-21m. Water temp: 66-70°F/19-21°C.
3mil, DSS travel BP&W, steel 11 liter tank. No 1.5 pound weights so I went with two 2 pound. Spiro from CorfuScubanauts picked us up at the port @ 9:45 and took us to the hotel marina, maybe 5 minutes away. When the 2 divers from Wales arrived we set up the tanks on the dock and then loaded the gear into the RIB, put wetsuits on halfway and headed on out to the island. There the wives went ashore to explore, there is an open air bar and picnic area while we headed to the point. Grass bottom until we got to the wall which has some low profile sponge growth, no tubes, saw a few octopus hiding, black urchins, small fish, mostly wrasse and hamlets, butterfly’s, starfish and fireworms. Didn’t see any large fish, crabs or shrimp. Thermocline on the way down, at 100’ there is a medium sized anchor draped in mono-filament and nets. We went back to the picnic area for the SI, used the shower and had lunch with our wives, they had wine, us not.
