Foss State Lake - Foss OK

Loading...
According to park manager best diving is over by the Dam away from infrastructure of dam. Depths can reach 50+ ft. Visibility varies but from what I was told is under 10ft. Don’t have a lot more information but plan on diving it next week and will give updates. As far as I have been informed this is only lake you can scuba dive west of Okc near I-40.

0-3 ft visibility, was not very good at all I don’t recommend diving it. And from people I have talked to its that way all the time.

Well went out and dove foss lake with couple of people and to say the least I was pretty disappointed. The visibility was 0-3 ft. There was times I could barely see my gauges. And it is apparently this way all the time. I called around to other local lakes around elk city area and they all said their visibility was nearly 0. So I guess there is really no good places to dive in western Oklahoma.
