The Murph is no longer a Wreck is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located in Vashon Island, WA. The maximum depth is 26-30ft/8-9m.
Unfortunately The Murph has been removed and is no longer a dive site. Our thanks to OQdiver for updating us. We’ll leave the site description here for a time just to let people know.
The Murph was a large Tug Boat that sank in Quartermaster Harbor in 2007. It sits on the bottom in about 30’ of water but the smoke shaft reaches the surface during negative tides. It stands fully in tact facing south, with the wheel house and all hatches open. It is an interesting wreck that is accessible to all divers since the depth is only about 30’-35’ deep depending on tides. Quartermaster Harbor is well protected from currents so it is a good option when conditions prohibit dives elsewhere in the sound.
