NOTE: A four-wheel-drive vehicle, and a Suffolk County Beach Permit is needed to access this site.

Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 68 South, William Floyd Parkway. Drive south to the end (7.8 miles) and turn left onto Fire Island Beach Road. Drive as far east as you can. It’s at least five miles over soft sand before you get to the jetty.
