Diamond Island is in Cassopolis, Michigan. It is surrounded by a pretty large lake, called Diamond Lake. There is probably too much boat traffic, and not enough educated drivers who have even the slighest clue what a dive flag is. another wise, there is some really great stuff to see. There are two ways to enter off the mainland, one could presumably go off the shore or off a boat. There is a paddleboat wreck that used to be a gambling boat, I believe from the 1920s. There are also some smaller sunken boats. Plenty of fish can be seen, and some of them are willing to take food from you. There are some really great areas with very strange vegetation, although they are in about 15 ft, and also in an area with ALOT of boat traffic. Overall, I thin kthis is a great place to dive, as long as you can triangulate yourself and cut off boat traffic between 2-3 boats with divers. People just dont get how serious they could hurt someone because of their ignorance, and not understanding the flags.
