Ann Coleman is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located at Ann Coleman Dr., Juneau, AK. This dive site has an average rating of 3.50 out of 5 from 4 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 71-80ft/22-24m. The average visibility is 21-25ft/6-8m.

This accessible dive site includes deep, sheer walls with crevasses and good fish and invertebrate encounters. 1.6 miles Down to 80 feet Sand shallows and rocky entry This site is on the south shore of Auke Bay, north of Juneau, AK. Take Fritz Cove Rd. about 1-1/2 mi. to Ann Coleman Dr. which runs down toward the water; park at the public access and hike down approx 75 yds. This trail is accessible by car and is located at the end of Ann Coleman road, (a left turn off Fritz Cove Road) in Juneau. A sign marks the trailhead and access to the beach. The entry is via a gravel beach down a steep slope of mud and shells to about 40’. Turn left to intersect the south wall, or right for the northern wall. Bare rock faces show occasional cracks where local octopus hang out (hence the empty shells) as well as varied rockfish, sculpin and other bottom fish. Ledges are found at 70’ and 90’ but drop-off continues to several hundred. Vis varies from 20-50’, water temp from 38F in winter to 48F in summer.

Fun site, visibility was poor the day we went but still worth the trip and dives. Saw lots of hermit crabs, king crab, lots of shrimp, swimming scallops and much more!!! Highly recommend if you are in Juneau, AK!

I try to dive here whenever I pass through Juneau. I got certified here so it is kinda special to me.
