Back Beach is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located in Rockport, MA. This dive site has an average rating of 3.52 out of 5 from 27 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 26-30ft/8-9m. The average visibility is 16-20ft/5-6m.

Back Beach is a very easy site and should be interesting for all skill levels. Because of the easy of entry and proximity to parking, many come here watch the squid perform their antics during a night dive.

I went scuba diving here on 7/28/2013. Average viz: 11-15ft/3-5m. Water temp: 66-70°F/19-21°C.
Supposed to dive the polling. Boat broke... Luckily the steering collumn froze up at the dock, which prompted a closer look. Then we noticed a crack in hull.

Very happy to not have to swim back to shore.

I went scuba diving here on 7/5/2012. Average viz: 5-10ft/2-3m. Water temp: 56-60°F/13-16°C.
Lobsters abound! Crabs, starfish, too many fish to count, plus the veryday flounder... Full moon and flat seas. All made for a pleasant night dive.
