The entry point we kept using was from "tourist beach." The one with the Destin sign. We parked as close to the barrier as possible on the left hand side and entered the water from beneath the bridge. The tourists and locals are always fun to talk to since this is not a "normal" dive spot and they rarely see divers. Once you get past the fishermen, walking in under the bridge is very easy with the gentle slope and solid sand. Lots of crabs and small life and on a good day you can see the dolphins in the area. Current was non existent on some days and a b.... on others. We found it most enjoyable for a second or third dive after the jetties. The boat traffic is insane, so watch your flag and make sure you stay away from the channel.

Very informative, I’ll have to give it a try sometime soon. Thank you very much!

I’m looking for information about this site; i.e. entry/exit location, points of interest (with compass headings if available), hazards, preferred tide times, currents, and/or a site map would be awesome. I’ve dove the Destin Jetties East Pass and know that this general area can get a little crazy with the tides/current as well as boat traffic so would prefer to have a little more info before heading to the site. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it.

Always wanted to dive here and it finally worked out. The visability was good and it was an easy shallow dive. There was plenty to see and suprisingly enjoyable. The only concern i had throughout the dive was the boat traffic so if your going to dive here make sure your flag is directly above you. Will be diving here again and most likely will be doing a night dive here soon.
