Lake Victoria has been around for many years, and not to many people know about it. The lake is located down in Homestead 2 blocks away from Homestead Air Force Base. Lake Victoria is about 1/4 sqaure mile. It has a max depth of 29 feet and has about 20 to 30 feet visibility depending on the day. The lake has fresh water fishes all different shapes and sizes. To also make your dive interesting the lake offers some cars and boats wrecks scattered throughout different sections of the lake. Currently, the lake is surround by five model homes and 3 homes that have people living in them. I’ve dove this site about 5 times and have never encounters any problems with any authorites or the neighbors. Actually, it seem as if people have discovered this little spot and keep it all to themeselves. A little secret site where they can come to relax and have some fun without many people around. I have seen people fishing and just taking a cool down swim at this lake. So if your interested in a different type of dive or just want some spot to practice diving with no cost involved; I recommend you check this site out!
