Robert Gaskin is a boat accessible fresh water dive site, located in Brockville, ON, Canada. This dive site has an average rating of 3.88 out of 5 from 16 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 61-70ft/19-21m. The average visibility is 21-25ft/6-8m.

The Robert Gaskin is a double masted iron rigged wood barge that was built in Kingston Ont. by Charles W. Jenkings in 1863. She is 113’ x 26’, 3332 ton "carvel" and has a square stern, but no galley or figurehead.

The Robert Gaskin sank 3 times in her career. In the final moments, she was helping to raise the Armstrong when a pontoon used to lift the sung vessel came loose and make a large hole at the turn of the bilge in the Robert Gaskin. She sits on a firm bottom (with light silt) approximately 400’ off shore, 60-70’ depth with her bow facing inland. The Gaskin is near the north side of the main shipping channel, and is in a high traffic area of smaller boats. Dive flags and caution are recommended especially if you are drifting off the wreck, and a chase boat should be used.
