I’m not sure of the name of this beach area, but it is located on the East Shore, just north of Sand Harbor / Lake Tahoe Beach Park. (See the map for location.)
Location is great for getting out of the tourist beach areas. The water is cold- the bottom is sand. There are numerous, very large boulders to dive about. Not much life under the surface...
Parking is hard to find along Hwy. 28, and the trek down with equipment is difficult.
