Pinnacle 1 Isla Ladrones is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located at Isla Ladrones, Gulf of Chiriqui, Chiriquí 000000, Panama. The maximum depth is over 150ft/46m. The average visibility is 91-100ft/28-30m. This dive site provides bathrooms and airfills.

One hour offshore of the mainland, we found this rocky island. Full of life. No many divers come to these isolated waters.
The pinnacle #1 is amazing, big fishes, deep drops, and some currents are signs that this is not an easy dive spot. Your level must be advanced.
Clear waters full of fishes, schools of manta rays, blue & crevalle jacks, snappers, barracudas, and a lot of pelagic species live here, different currents bring a lot of nutrients to this ecosystem.
visibility is pretty good the whole year and temperature doesn’t change too much.
Big rocks emerge from the bottom, soft and hard corals provide a nice view underwater.

Our last dive at this point, after the global pandemic was great, a small group of tree advanced divers from Texas, Us. were visiting our dive resort and decided to dive as much as they could.
Our Captain & Dive instructor has all the stuff ready early in the morning, a nice center console with twin 300hp outboard make the ride fast and smooth.
one hour later we were going down. the plan was: Deeper area first, 25mts x 20minutes, and then keep going shallow with a maximum bottom time of 45 minutes.
the water was clear and warm, the ocean floor is a mix of giant rocks with corals, hard and soft ones, many different spices live here.
at the depth of 17mts, we experimented a cold thermocline, we were using 2mm wetsuit, as deep we dive the cold feel it more, so we decided to stay out of the thermocline. in the range of 18 - 15mts.
A lot of fishes from all the sizes and colors swimming close to the rocks and corals looking for protection, big green moray moving their heads from inside their caves, a nice size sea turtle get scared with our presence and a large group of jack crevalle was swimming in circles.
we were lucky and saw a Grouper of 65 pounds (approx)
the best part was at the end, all of the divers were floating on the surface talking about the great dive and waiting to get in the boat when a group of Mahi-mahi (5 of them) passes really close to us a few centimeters below the surface with their majestic colors. that was a great day
