Trash recovered from Sandy Creek Park 5/28/2015 : Sandy Creek Park - Leander TX
1 dive with a total bottom time of 30 minutes
Conner and I recovered a lot of the orange plastic used around the construction area at the end of the boat ramp. There are still several metal t-posts underwater. We found the camp fire ring underwater and sat around it :)
Ocean at Sunset, leaving the Indra 4/18/2015 : Indra (AR-330) - Morehead City NC

Jake and Greg at Comal River 1/31/2015 : Comal River - New Braunfels TX
1 dive with a total bottom time of 60 minutes
Great dive with Duke and Jake and my sons...Chris and Conner. Swam on the surface to train bridge, then started our drift dive. Saw lots of bass and assorted small fishies. Found dog toy frisbee. Went down tube schute. Weather was overcast and a little drizzle. Outside was colder than in water.
Stairs leading no where 11/23/2014 : Mansfield Dam Dive Park - Austin TX
1 dive with a total bottom time of 30 minutes
Conner and I decided to dive here after attempting to dive the Comal River (closed due to heavy rain previous day), North Park @ Canyon Lake (closed for some reason also), Jacob’s Well (closed to swimmers until Spring 2015). Lake Travis was a bit chilly, around 64 degrees. The viz was not that great in the afternoon, around 2:30pm...only about 7 feet. We cruised along the ledge underwater, saw rocks, tree stumps, sun fish. During our safety stop, a small catfish came up and swam around us.
Old beer can found near Mansfield Dam in Lake Travis 8/29/2014 : Mansfield Dam Dive Park - Austin TX
1 dive with a total bottom time of 52 minutes
I met Chris on DiveBuddy and he invited me to dive today. Luck was not on my side while preparing for the dive: - I couldn’t find my integrated weight pockets for my BC (we recently moved and I’m sure their still packed somewhere). - My backup BC started leaking. - My weight belt was too loose (guess I’m loosing weight). I borrowed a weight belt from Chris. - My dive bag zipper wasn’t working, I need pliers to fix it...which leads to... - I couldn’t find my pliers. - None of my dive lights worke
Chris and Conner on the deck of the Kittiwake 11/21/2013 : Kittiwake - West Bay Grand Cayman
1 dive with a total bottom time of 45 minutes
Dove with Divers Down (Jenny, Trip, Ollie, Matthew...great customer service, friendly crew). Amazing wreck dive! Some fish with plant/coral beginning to grow on the wreck. No big animals. Becky and Macy snorkeled above and they could easily see the wreck in the clear blue water. Several openings in the wreck made it easy to swim around and see with a good amount of light. We followed the guide through 4 levels of the ship. Highly recommended if you’re in Grand Cayman.
11/02/2013 : Blue Lagoon - Huntsville TX
2 dives with a total bottom time of 50 minutes
Chris, Conner and I went diving to refresh our skills before our cruise. Both boys did really well. I practiced mask and reg drills with them. Both are getting better at buoyancy. Conner forgot to bring his mask, so I dove with them separately.
Tiger Shark 9/29/2013 : Denver Aquarium - Denver CO
1 dive with a total bottom time of 45 minutes
Amazing dive with the sharks at the Denver Aquarium! Very memorable experience. I contacted A1Scuba to arrange the dive. The $185 fee covered everything, including all gear (wetsuit, mask, fins, bc, regs, tank...everything!). An aquarium employee gave us a guide tour of the filter/pump rooms and the main control area for all the tanks. The dive guide gave us a great pre-dive briefing, we tested our weight, and basic dive skills (mask clearing, reg recovery). There were Tiger Sharks, Sandbar Shar
Moon at Clear Springs Scuba Park during Sunset 7/20/2013 : The Scuba Ranch - Terrell TX
2 dives with a total bottom time of 60 minutes
Dove through submerged plane for the first time, that was pretty cool. Some seats were still inside the plane. Conner and I acted like we were the pilots. Thermocline was at 30’ and temp dropped to around high 60s. Surface temp was in high 70s. Lots of small fish, some medium size stripped bass. Lots of fish beds with a fish in everyone of them protecting their spot. Participated in the ScubaShack treasure hunt. I won a mask, dry bag and Sherwood t-shirt.
6/07/2013 : Blue Lagoon - Huntsville TX
1 dive with a total bottom time of 50 minutes
Great dive! Clear, not cold water. Not many divers, but lots of swimmers. Friendly staff (Abby and Randi). Took Clayton on a Discover Scuba Dive. He did great. Future DiveBuddy member for sure.
Group of divers on New Years Day, Loch Low-Minn, TN 1/01/2013 : Loch Low-Minn Quarry - Athens TN
1 dive with a total bottom time of 36 minutes
Great dive site, Stacy was nice, prices were reasonable, location was easy to get too. Water was really cold. Didn’t see any paddlefish during our dive, but divers that dove twice reported seeing several in a different spot. Water was clean and clear. It was nice to meet Mitch and Pearson.

Open water training class at the Blue Lagoon (dives 1 and 2). I felt fine diving in a 3mil shorty. Not too crowded.
Greg Jr., Greg Sr. and Chuck at Ginnie Springs 1/04/2012 : Ginnie Springs - High Springs FL
2 dives with a total bottom time of 100 minutes
Arrived around 11:45am. Didn’t realize they closed at 4pm on weekdays during this time of year so we had to rush to complete two dives. Everyone at Ginnie Springs was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were very nice and accomodating, restrooms were clean, plenty of picnic tables and gear benches, well maintained paths and stairs/docks to access water. We all really enjoyed the diving and the water was clear and warmer than the air outside. The first and main spring was the largest and most

Getting ready to dive Lake Tahoe 6/28/2011 : Homewood - Lake Tahoe - Homewood CA
1 dive with a total bottom time of 10 minutes
Very cold, started hailing pretty bad after the dive. Very windy. Nothing much to see underwater. We reached a small sailboat laying on it’s side, then my reg began to free flow. I slowly ascended with Conner.
Chris and Conner pre-dive in Cozumel 6/06/2010 : Palancar Gardens - Cozumel Quintana Roo

About to descend the Blue Hole 6/29/2008 : Blue Hole, Santa Rosa NM - Santa Rosa NM
1 dive with a total bottom time of 40 minutes
On our way to LA for a scuba tradeshow, we noticed a scuba flag on a road sign that said "Blue Hole". Being in New Mexico, in the middle of what appeared to be desert...we had to stop. We were pleasantly surprised by the Blue Hole. It’s an oasis for sure! Crystal clear, cold water in a cylindrical hole in the ground going down 90 feet. If you float on the surface and look down, you can see all the way to the bottom. There is a great rock ledge to jump from. Our kids had a great time playing arou
