Saturday September 19 Coastal clean up Day

Its that time again the annual coastal clean up day dive. Once a year heal the bay host this huge event for volunteers to help clean up our beaches and our oceans. West Coast Dive club will be doing the underwater clean up of the malibu pier sponsered by Malibu Divers. They will be there coordinating and giving out awesome prizes for unique trash finds. Note they usually open the shop early that day for people to get last minue air fills or any other dive equipment you may need. If you have any questions for the them you can email Barbara Gentile-Crary info@malibudivers.com or call the shop directly (310) 456-2396. The shop is located at 21231 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265.

We will be diving under the pier and along the beach in front of malibus surfrider beach collecting trash.Hint its easiest to bring a lobster bag that attaches to you to fill up with trash while underwater.

What you need too do first is go too heal the bay website and register for that dive site its free. Click this link healthebay.org/volunteer/coastal-cleanup-day-1 then choose register fill out your information and make sure you choose the malibu pier as your dive site. It will be at the bottom of the site list. Then download your waivor form and fill it out and bring it with you the day of the event.

Event starts at 9 am but i recommend getting there early because parking fills up fast in that parking lot. I will be there by 730 or 8am. Parking is free for the event just tell the guard your here for coastal clean up day. The parking lot is just west of the pier. 23050 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu. google.com/maps/place/Malibu+Lagoon,+California+...5:0x40c0f657602b3ba2

This event is super fun I look forward too it every year and it really is a great cause the oceans need our help to keep them clean. I really do hope too see everyone of you there.
