Rescue Diver
Last night I started something I had been saying I wanted to do for the past 3 years. I took and passed the exam for the Rescue Diver Cert. After the exam, I went to the pool and practiced all the confined water skills, and did them much better than I thought I would. Disappointment in San Diego
I just got back from a week in San Diego. I was looking forward to 3 days of diving at Wreck Alley and the local kelp beds. I have to say that I was very disappointed on several different levels. First off, all 3 days of diving got cancelled...the dive boat I was booked on (The Marissa) decided they did not have enough paying divers on 2 days and the swells got too big and dangerous on the 3rd. I was able to get on the DND II on 1 day and did 2 local dives; the NOSC Tower and a local kelp bed. I...

Underwater Nav
On Friday, 5/2/08, I got my Underwater Navigator certification. Had a great time and was fun getting wet again...even if I was wearing my dry suit. I am thrilled to now be certified to use my compass...whew...felt like I was breaking the law using it while uncertified...but hey, what can I say...I’m rebellious like that, but now I’m heading in the right direction......
