Booked a week of diving with captain Matt aboard the Down Time in the outer banks of North Carolina, great guy & boat dose everything in his power to ensure a great dive. Anyway turns out we get blown out every day, poor Matt calls me 6 am every morning to say "sorry man maybe tomorrow". While diving between helping with a class I stumbled over this piece of concrete. I retrieved a lift bag and recovered this cool chunk of history, now I need to know what it was used for. Some of the top is missing but "Feb 23 1904". The piece is shaped so as to fit together with others "combustion, Troy NY," are all clear. What ever it is I know it is old and has been resting at the bottom of the lake for sometime. If anyone has info please message me. Thank you...

So for Xmas I did another tank dive. Shark reef at Mandalay bay Las Vegas is a really cool dive, with lots of life in the tank. The tour starts with a tour of the entire facility and then off to the locker rooms to don your wet suit. Once you are comfortably in your 5 mill you slide in to a full chain mail suit, bcd, then in to a small pool for weight check. I took my 10 year old daughter to dive the Sea’s at Epcot in FL. The staff were very friendly and made her feel at ease, she was at odds about diving with sharks. But through there knowledge and joking, she was confident the sharks would not nibble even a little. Over all the dive was great. So many different fish in one small place, gear fit good, and weighted close enough everyone got down. Once down the dive masters were watching for any signs of distress, from fish or diver.
