Apo Reef and Wreck Diving in the Philippines
The best time to dive Apo Reef is November to May and one of the ways to dive this site is on a live-aboard out of Coron. Sea Dive Resort has a new live-aboard and they have scheduled to do Apo Reef starting in November and into May 2011. The price is $1,250 for 6 days and 7 nights - non diver price, deduct $175. Rental gear and courses are extra. For a small group of people (3 to 6) that is pretty cheap diving and accommodations per day in one of the best wreck diving (Coron) and reef diving (Apo Reef) areas in the Philippines....

Surin and Similan Islands - Thailand
I have dove with Sea Dragon Dive Centre out of Khao Lak, Thailand about four times now. The first trip was in 2002. Sea Dragon runs several different trips to the Surin and Similan Islands on three different boats - the trips range from 3days/2nights to 4days/4nights. I have always done the 4 day trip aboard the MV Andaman. You can see several photos of one trip in my photo section. The main dive season is late October through April, but they run other schedules during the remainder of the year....

LST - Subic Bay - Philippines
The LST at Subic Bay was probably sunk as a target sometime during the 1950`s. The superstructure at the rear is a tangle of metal, but the rest of the ship is pretty much intact and a great wreck dive. You are on the main deck at about 28 meters, the ship is on the sand at 34 meters. There are many large open spaces for penetrations and small spaces for advanced penetrations. The picture here is of the USS New York that was scuttled at Subic Bay by the US Navy at the start of WWII so that its large guns would not be captured by the Japanese. This wreck lies at 22m to 27m and offers may possible penetration dives.
