[Choose #2] never did, using a gopro hero 3 black edition

[Choose #2] Agreed with having the main o-ring not installed and protected inside the housing for anytime I’m not on a boat or diving. If you do this the o-ring is always with the housing & there are no worries with presure changes.

[Choose #2] I don’t remove them just for flying, but they are already out. when cleaning from previous dives I remove & clean the o-ring lube it up and put in a ziploc bag and place it inside the housing until ready to set up before the dive.

[Choose #2] Actually, had not thought about the problems of altitude changes, so from now on , will make sure case is open, but I still don’t want to remove the o-rings.

[Choose #3] IMPORTANT: DON’T CLOSE THE HOUSING UP FOR A FLIGHT! Once I did; then could not open the housing after landing because external air pressure was greater than inside the box which had vented on ascent. Prop the door open slightly before flight.

[Choose #2] Fuji ships their housings with the O-ring in place but with the door held open with a piece of bubble wrap they suggest to transport this way.

[Choose #3] I’ll generally remove O-rings when I break down the system, but I’ll leave some in place if I have any reason to suspect that that piece of equipment isn’t absolutely dry (ie, usually strobes).

[Choose #2] All of my strobe and light o-rings stay in. But I always remove my main housing o-ring in between use, flying or not. It avoids flat spots. I had a canon o-ring that would get a flat spot and leak in really cold water.

[Choose #2] Housing only open long enough to take out or put camera in the housing or doing o-ring maint. Also in an environment with dust and minimal air movement to minimize contamination.

[Choose #2] Never, bodies are usually unlatched and bagged but I only remove the o-rings to clean them.
