jeez, that’s all we need is some dummy to do something like this and screw it up for the rest of us. I can see it now, I’m diving on a nice live-a-board and come up from my dive to be greeted by federal agents wanting to "check us out" because we could be smuggling something.

(Credit: U.S. Border Patrol)" Are saying that he did a surface swim in Dive gear or that the whole article is incorrect? If it’s the whole article I wouldn’t be surprised, just curious.

There is a pic of BC, REG Fins etc in the article. Seems to me he did scuba across most of the way. Just sayin.
