What is your favorite after dive adult beverage?

After you’re done scuba diving for the day and you’re relaxing on the dock, by the pool, at the bar, etc...what is your adult beverage of choice?

Mine would have to be a good 7 and 7 or if it were beer...a Shock Top or Blue Moon with an orange.

That would be seltzer water for me. I’m just a big kid at heart.

I think we need to kick you off DiveBuddy for that reply :). Unless you mean seltzer and rum.

Heineken, ice cold. I bring a cooler with them on the boat for the ride back to the dock

Ice Tea with lemon for me. I never drink alcohol when diving, even before or after diving.

After being underwater for over an hour each dive and sometime getting dry mouth, I have to rehydrate with water before drinking anything else. When diving in saltwater you need lots of freshwater to dilute the salt you may have taken in. You would be surprise how fast you become dehydrated after diving in salt water. Alcohol is not that good for you right after a dive. Once diving is over for that week, you can cut loose but in moderation.

I can see a separation of divers forming :). Those that dive, then party afterwards. And those that dive, then do healthy stuff like drink water. It’s all good! Just like surface support is great to have when diving, a sober buddy is great to have when drinking. Brings new meaning to the phrase "call for pizza!" (you rescue divers know what I mean:)

Water to rinse and rehydrate, and then a beer to celebrate. Any beer will do!

I guess I should be totally honest...I do drink a ton of water before and after a dive. I also drink water while consuming adult beverages...helps to lessen the hangover. And in the morning after a night of having a few drinks, I force myself to drink a ton more water.

WATER! I’ve found when diving I can’t even stand a softdrinks.
I was on a live a board recently hand consumed a total of 2 beers the entire week and those were all on the last night when there was no more diving to do.

First I need to rehydrate and to do so I prefer Iced Tea or Lemonade. A little later and a switch to a good cold, Red or amber beer. During hot weather Gin and tonics or Margaritas.

In tropics two versions depending on my mood. White rum version - Mojito or Cuba libre on dark (anejo). When "going to the dark side" often complemented with one or two shots of la cucaracha.

When diving in cold Canada, after finally getting home, unpacked, gear rinsed and drying hanging in the laundry room I love to sip on JD tennessee honey on the rocks.
