I myself perfer Shore diving because I can dive more often, also I believe shore entries and long swims to reefs keeps me in good diving shape. I will do a Boat now and then.

[Choose #2] So far I prefer boat diving - however if i am in some exotic location beach diving would be ok.

[Choose #2] ...unless we’re in Bonaire, than shore beats boat by a long shot!

[Choose #1] Shore diving=cheaper, not fixed to someone elses schedule. If conditions are bad then, enjoy the $90 you saved. Boat=Fair weather only, Access to remote sites, and with that better vis.

[Choose #1] Shore diving is cheaper altogether, although boat dives are awesome and I hate the sand.

[Choose #2] So much more enjoyable especially when there is some chop.

[Choose #1] Cheaper to shore dive. The shore does not make me seasick. Can’t really "boat dive" most quarries and caves. Most lake and river dives are easier without having to find a non-diver to stay with the boat. I do boat dive on tropical vacations.

[Choose #1] As others have said this is a lot to do with location. Where I am I can get onto wrecks from the shore, so that makes for a lot more diving and free diving. However I like getting out on a boat and out to the deeper options.

[Choose #1] It’s really 50/50 I like both. Boat is convenient and no sand, but shore is fun too

[Choose #2] Anything to find a nice dive. That said I’ve logged far more shore dives than boat dives but that may soon change as I bought and set up a kayak for diving. If you are looking to get in good shape this method works more muscles.

[Choose #1] most the time at home it’s shore diving, traveling...off a boat usually.

[Choose #2] Depends, @ home I do a lot of beach dives and the Jersey sand screws up a lot of gear :(

[Choose #2] Just the opposite for me. I don’t like long walks with all my gear on, nor do I like long surface swims. I prefer to gear up and step or roll off the boat.

[Choose #2] The answer to this question is all about location, location, location.
