It’s been a couple of years since I dove and since then have been diagnosed with a few "issues". Being in the water is fine as it’s relaxing and soothing. But I take quite a few medications, one of which drops my blood pressure although I debate that because it’s the same now as it was 3-4 years ago so I doubt that’s the reason why it’s low.

I called PADI and they weren’t able to direct me other than to say talk to your Doc. My Doc, as awesome as she is, doesn’t dive and I’m unsure she would know what the affects on me would be because of the meds I have to take. And I know your average diver out there can’treally answer but

I’m wondering if someone can point me in the right direction to get this information? Thanks

I had the same concerns and found Divers Alert Network/DAN to be the best resource. They have alot of info info on there web site and have Doctor’s that dive. I printed out info on aproved meds from there web site and gave the info and there phone number to my Dr so he could prescribe dive aproved blood pressure meds. Most Dr are not very knowledgeable in dive related medicine.DAN can allso refer you to Dr’s that are knowledgeable in diving issues.
I have found you have to research it youself and educate your Dr with specific concerns.
