I started Scuba diving in my mid 50’s.Better late than never.I am totally hooked.s for where I have been.Cozumel was my 1st real Ocean Dive. From there St.Thomas,St Maartin,Bahamas,Puerta Adventuras area including Cenotes met a great friend there and love the Cenotes.Like diving in Outerspace. Just did Grand Cayman & Curacao last yr 2011.Went to Roatan in Late October.Awesome diving.Life is GOOD there. Now Cayman Brac,Belize & a Live aboard.Which is the only way to dive...!

In the course of getting cert.I did get cert for Drysuit. Had aspirations of doing Lake Mi.. Not sure now if I’ll make it there. As I get older.I think my blood is leaning to more Warm water all the time..Ahhhhhh.
As of 2013.Sold my Drysuite..Gonna stay a warm water diver.

Greg is there a way to sort the dive clubs by state...?Just an idea...?
Greg - 9/09/2014 12:59 PM
No, but you can use the Club Search page to search by state.

I wish you & family my sincere condolences.I lost my mother in 2009. It still hurts.Time marches on and knowing she is in a better place is a relief for her. From her biography, she was a real trooper. All the best Greg..

Just returned from 5 days in Deerfield Beach,Fl.Stayed at the Wyndam,Dove with South Florida Diving in Pompano Beach.Great shop ,very professional & safety minded.By the Book.Nitrox is available.3 boats on call. Can handel lg. groups. Call ahead for reservations. This shop is busy on the weekends. Good temps-84 deg. at 85ft.,some strong currents 1-2 knots.Reefs are in decent shape.Didn’t see many Lionfish. The usual Angel fish,Moray EEL’s etc. Was disppointed I didn’t get to see Dolphins..Luckly Chantel missed our area. Some good resturants in the area.

Fyi, the number below a member photo in the forum is not their I’d number, it’s a DB Activity number and changes as the member is more active on DiveBuddy. So refer to a person’s screen name or use the Quote link if you want to attribute a reply to that member.

Well,I just returned from my Costa Rica Trip.Pacific side..Herradura Beach area.I guess I’ve been spoiled by the carribean. The vis was not what I expected..20-40’ max.The thermo clines were a BRISK suprise and the current was brisk. Didn’t see to much.Got a few shots of some neat Puffers and Star fish.Big Snappers.I did some White water Rafting. That was a Thrill!!

Gregihpil - 2/15/2013 3:49 PM
Well, did my 1st couple of dives today in Jaco. Everyone that had mentioned Thermoclines was right.about 20-25’ Gives you a jolt from 84+ at surface to -a few degrees..Vis was not the Carribean...40’ if your lucky.Going again on Monday further south.Lots of other stuff doing over the weekend.

Hi Greg,

Hey..what about a Hat/cap .? It is non Gender related.I can reccomend a good co.,up in the Mn. area.Just did some research on this type of project for another group.Good qlty and for a good cause. The co. puts people back to work, that are recovering from various addictions..But a cap is seen at a distance as well....I’m on overload with T shirts.
