Trip to Dutch Springs, PA on November 2nd, 2014. Cold and windy outside (about 45°F and 30 mph winds) but very sunny. Only managed to get 2 dives in but they were great. Conditions were awesome: Water temp was 55°F at about 65ft, viz was well over 35ft, and the place was empty. On our second dive we saw more fish than I’ve ever seen there. We took a 167° heading from the school bus into open water towards the helicopter. On the way we saw a HUGE school of yellow perch and a mix of about 30 blue gill and large mouth bass. The fish were just calmly swimming at about 45ft over a bunch of grass, there were seriously at least 100 of them. Saw a bunch of other fish also but I’m not sure what kind they were (didn’t look like koy though). All in all a great day of diving, just wish we got more dives in.
