i think aqua lung has done a great job with their womens gear their pearl BC has a built in sports bra is desined to fit a smaller frame. They also make the mikron reg in a womens model to match the prearl. I dive all aqua lung life supporting gear and love it i have had it a year with not a single problem

My daughter uses an Oceanic womans BC and likes it but I really think the best BCD for a woman is a Back Plate and Wing setup with a hog harness. Unfortunetly most shops don’t sell them.

With a BP & W you can mix and match whatever works for you best. A back plate that fits you from one manufacture, a wing from another. Deep Sea Supply even has wings in color which is more important to women than guys :) I’ve seen some women use car seatbelts for the harness, they come in colors and are softer on the sholders.

And yes for those on here who know me, my cold water BP&W has a blue car seatbelt harness.

Howdy-

May I suggest taking a look at the Mares "she dives" line of equipment....

Solid stuff here. I use only Mares life support equipment in my professional dive program. Why you ask?

Professional divers can be the hardest on gear. They dont pay for it. They dont wash it. They just dont take good care of it.

After working with many different lines without much luck on finding gear that will actually hold up to full blown abuse- EVERYDAY. A Mares rep stopped by and said- here - just try this.

They left me an MR12 1st and 2nd. I wasn’t super impressed- it didnt look fancy. It looked. Well. Old school. Like the old scuba pro’s.

Yeah- It worked. It worked a week with out hitting my bench. I was impressed. At week two, I was wondering if they were using it. At week three-figured I better give this thing a try- i can break anything.

At week four- I was ordering the MR 12’s for my dive program. Simply put- i was sold by usage and performance. Not sales pitch or hype!

Let me know if I can answer any questions

As far as a BCD goes, look at a SeaQuest Diva LX. I love mine. Everything else I tried seemed like it was too long. This fits like a vest, ending more at the curve of your waist rather than your hips. It has integrated weights and trim weight pockets. It’s not heavy, and is easy to tighten once it’s on the tank. Good luck! There’s nothing like finding the right piece of equipment.
