Now you can customize your blog on DiveBuddy.com. You can change the blog title (ie: Greg’s Scuba Diving Blog) and add code to show popular blog widgets, buttons, images, embedded flash and other links. The code section will allow you to place the necessary code on your blog so other blogging sites can verify that you own and manage the blog. I will provide more information and sample images on how to get the most out of this new feature.

To customize your blog, Login, then choose "Edit Blog" from the Quick Links drop down menu in the top right of your browser. Then click the "Customize Blog" link.

Three reasons to customize your blog:

1. Promote your blog on the Internet through sites like BlogSearchEngine.com and BlogCatalog.com. These sites require you to add a button or link back to their site so they can verify that you are the author of the blog. With the new ability to customize your blog on DiveBuddy.com, you can add the buttons and links required to verify ownership of your blog.

2. Use widgets for viewers to rate/rank your blog. See OutBrain.com for an example.

3. Add a company logo, images or banners to establish a brand for your blog or to promote a message.

If you are a professional in the dive industry, I recommend that promote your blog (see #1 above) to receive more exposure throughout the Internet. You can change the code in the "Customize Blog" section anytime.

Please post a reply here if you have additional questions on how to use this feature.
