Virus Warning

I was browsing scuba supply web pages. The link below has several viruses attached to it. My Norton Mcafee and SpyBot all went crazy. I have spent the last couple of hours cleaning and restoring the computers on my home net. Please add it to your restricted sites in your web browser. The portion in red is the actual link.

Thank God for good antivirus programs if you dont have one get one and use it often.

Are there any computer experts out there who can answer this question?

My dive computer connects to my PC. When it is connected I am able to download dive data/log from the dive computer to the PC. I am also able to upload settings from the PC to the dive computer.

If my PC has a virus, can that virus be transmitted to my dive computer? If so, then how would I know and how would I correct the problem?

That’s a good question. You should start another forum topic just for this question. I don’t know the answer to it...but I’m sure someone does.

I use OS X. Therefore, no virii. Just a thought.

And no, a PC virus targets a particular operating system or application (m$ Offices/Word) or, rarely, a specific piece of hardware. Something that can harm WinDoze cannot affect the OS’s in Suunto or Oceanic or Mares etc. devices.
