Hi All,

I recently got my PADI OW certification, and am going for the AOW certification soon. Currently looking for as many dive buddies as possible, since I want to dive every weekend. I’m willing to travel pretty much anywhere in Oregon and some parts of Washington.

I’ve dived in Wohink Lake and the North Jetty in Florence. I’m hooked, but am finding it hard to find people to go with. I’ll be joining the local dive club, and I have posted in multiple forums regarding scuba. All of that has gotten me maybe 2 potential people to go with.

Does anyone have any tips to finding people?

Just keep working the forums. Of all the divers I know, only a handful use these forums but once you get a small group together, word travels quickly.

Sometimes divers also search sites like Craigslist for keywords "SCUBA diving" to see what’s available for used gear in their area. Might get a hit there, as well. :)
