 Novice diver looking for dive buddies in Ottawa area

Just got my PADI OW this past August (on my bucket list for 30+ years), but didn’t get out as much as I’d hoped to, largely because I’m dependent on club events and more often than not, I couldn’t make it out to them, or they were too advanced.

I don’t know any other divers in the area, and would like to get plugged into the dive community. Looking for dive buddies with some experience, don’t have to be pros or DMs but I need to dive with someone with some experience.

I’m 56 years old, comfortable in the water but not an athlete by any measure. I have no problem with cold water, enjoy it in fact so I’m hoping to get in a few dives yet in October. Looking forward to meeting some new dive buddies. No real restrictions.

Hey there, I am in Kingston ON and happy to be a buddy for some dives. I tend to dive on boats out of the Rockport area, or shore dives between Cardinal and Kingston. The Conestoga, Rothsay, and Brockville dive park are all great spots to get some time in the water and work on skills.

My background is I am tech trained as well as a cave diver, also an open water instructor. Been diving about 10 years. I also work as crew with a diver boat operator on the St Lawrence.
