Welcome to the pool Josh, if you go back a few weeks in the forum there were other divers looking for buddies around the city, I’ve always wanted to try 8th street but it would have to be after the 23rd.
There are always divers meeting up at Dutch, not me, the ocean is right here :)
There are a group of us doing Shark River now into November. I’m going to be elsewhere the next couple of weeks but I’m thinking about an evening dive (5:45pm +-), Monday the 20th. It was 66 yesterday so I’m definitely wearing more wetsuit!

As LatitudeAdjustment mentioned, I am one of those divers looking for some dive buddies as well (and will hopefully be joining on the shark river dives once my gear comes in). Feel free to PM me the next time you’re looking to dive and id be happy to join. I’ve been hoping to get some boat dives and some shore dives in LI in as well

Welcome aboard. We dive ponquoge about once a week if you don’t mind the drive out this far. South side no longer requires a parking permit.

Sorry for the delay everyone, had to wait for my profile to be approved before I could comment or message. I don’t know what Shark River is, but the name certainly intrigues me haha. I looked up ponquoge, it looks like an awesome dive and I definitely would like to partake. My only issue right now is that I need to do a boring dive at B8th St or some place similar so that I can readjust my weights and refamiliarize myself. My last recreational dive was June of 2013 unfortunately.

MCP, I wouldn’t mind doing a more low key boring dive- I’m getting a whole new set of gear soon and need to acclimate/become familiar with it and could use a more low key spot if you want to do B8th together sometime
