Hello everyone, my name is Daniel and I am from Porter County Indiana, near Lake Michigan..I am hoping to get some dives in before the summer is over, but can’t seem to get anyone motivated to go with me.
I am a safe, sane diver with over 20 years of diving experience..if anyone would like to do some fun easy stuff with me, please let me know!
France Park is a great little quarry in Logansport IN with some really cool 6 ft long Paddlefish..I would love to go back there some weekend this summer..They are only open for diving on the weekends, however, I am open to suggestions if anyone wants to go somewhere else during the week.
Get ahold of me if you are from Porter or Lake County indiana and want to dive soon!

Hey Daniel, I just wanted to remind you that if you don’t hear back from anyone on this forum.. go ahead and do a search for your area or the area that you’ll be diving and send a private message directly to a few members. Some DiveBuddy members check the forums daily. Some are busy with other things and may not but are on DiveBuddy for a reason... Hoping to dive and share stories, photos, etc. Let me know if you have any questions. By the way, I’m Becky, Greg’s wife who is the owner of DB. take care

We usually go over to Gilboa every other weekend if you ever want to head over that way.

Gilboa is between Ottawa and Findlay, OH on 224. Approx 1.5 hrs from anywhere on I69. We usually head in from Ft Wayne area. Gilboa is an old quarry converted to be "the premier dive site" in the midwest. Depths range from 15 to 135 ft. There is an airplane, helicopter, several vehicles, 7 training platforms, a ton of sunken boats, and what they call Tubes which are basically giants grain silos that you can swim through around 65ft. Vis is usually between 15 to 45 ft and temps range from 80 at the surface to 41 past 75 ft or so. 7mm westsuit or dry suit is standard. Vis depends on how many newbies are there to stir up the silt. Fishing and swimming are not allowed strictly to keep the vis high. There are docks for entering and exiting the water. Camping is permitted right on site, which is what we usually do. Air fills, showers, and restrooms also on site. Were going up the weekend of the 20th and 21st, and 27th and 28th if your interested. You can check them out at divegilboa.com

How do you feel about cold water spring diving? I can’t handle the cabin fever anymore so I am looking to pile on as much neoprene as I can find and hit the local spots.
