I just added code that should keep you logged in when you check the Remember Me check box on the login page. It uses a combination of encrypted cookies and database authentication to keep you logged in.

Try it out...next time you login, check the Remember Me option. Then just close out of the browser window when you’re done visiting DiveBuddy.com. Next time you visit our website, you should remain logged in (as evidenced by the "Logged in as:" text at the top right of the website).

Of course, if you click Logout, it will erase your session and delete the encrypted cookies...you will need to login again next time you visit DiveBuddy.com. OR if you don’t check the Remember Me option on the login page...you will need to login each time.

Moderators (and anyone else that wants to), please test and report errors or success.

Clicking logout doesn’t work it keeps you logged in unless you go into internet options and unclick keep cookie info on favortites and then delete.

Good catch on the logout problem. I’ll look into that now. I’ll think I’ll just change the "Remember Me" check box to "Keep me logged in" or something. Because when you click logout, I’ll have to remove cookies and current session which would wipe out the "remember" aspect on the login screen (where it keeps your user and password filled in).

Logout problem has been fixed. I changed the "Remember Me" checkbox to "Stay Logged In". Thanks for testing!
