Alright, so I’m building my own dive canister light. I do recreational diving, but would like to start wreck diving so I am attempting to build my own canister dive light. So lets get started:

1 large maglite
12v 4watt LED bulb
16ga. swooj landscape lighting cable
2 cable glands
PVC constructed canister
Self assisted latches
Magnetic reed switch
12v 2200MAH tinergy LIPO battery pack
Low voltage alarm
Custom made 2.125"D x .125" thick glass lens

I cut the mag lite behind the push button hole, drilled a hole into the base cap for the cable gland. Ran in my swooj wire and jb welded to the maglite body. I ground down the threads inside the maglite bezel, added JB weld and pressed onto the maglite body. put my LED bulb in place and will pick up my glass lens tonight and test the light head. I’ll begin Canister construction tomorrow.
