This is a place to get wet, not a destination!
This is a shore dive under the old bridge and in an inlet so it must be done at slack high tide and with a dive flag. If the wind is out of the east vis will stink. There can be strong currents here so have a plan B. Fishermen in the marine dump their fish guts here so sharks sightings are always a possiblity. Once the tide starts going out you will get the bay side green water :(
There is camping at the park for those traveling on a shoestring but you will need island strength bug spray as soon as you come out of the shower! If you are tenting, stakes don’t work on limestone, bring string to tie the tent to trees and/or the car. If you are traveling with a non-diver the beach here has been voted one of the best in the world. For laughs walk to the marina and watch the pelicans trying to roost in the trees :)
