Lake Texoma - Denison Dam (Texas side) - Denison TX

Loading...
On the Texas side near the dam there are numerous places you can get in and out of the water easily. There’s an asphalt parking lot near a boat launch that is close to the water. It’s a short hike to easy water entries from the asphalt parking lot. This is a completely free site. The only charge is for launching a boat but there’s no need to use a boat to dive it. For those with a four wheel/all wheel drive vehicle and not worried about getting stuck there are some places you can park right next to the water if you dare. It’s not pretty to look at but there is a bathroom if you really needed it. (It’s poorly maintained so you may need to bring your own toilet paper.) I put the depth at 40ft but this was based on my observations from a single dive on 2/7/2015. It’s probably far deeper in places. There is no scuba support at all. You have to bring full tanks and anything else you may need to dive it. There are restaurants nearby. There are shops you can get things like snacks, bottled water, sodas, etc close by in Denison, TX.
