In Brief

An American tanker hauling furnace oil and gasoline torpedoed with a loss of 4 lives. It broke into 2 pieces and the bow section was sunk by the Coast Guard Cutter "General Greene" on 1 February 1942.

A piece of history and a really nice dive.
