N 25° 05.859 W 077° 18.645 During September 1929, a hurricane (before they start giving them names) hovered over Bahamas causing havoc. (More on this hurricane at the
Wikipedia listing.) A 212-foot steel-hulled steamship wrecked off the north coast of what is now known as Paradise Island where the
Atlantis Casino is located. To avoid causing problems for other ships, the boat was blown up with dynamite, thus the pieces are strewn across the ocean floor.
