Unexplored paradise. A vast are of hills of many species of corals, all healthy and intact. The site has many swim throughs. There are schools of many types of tropical fishes as well as schools of barracudas. You can also see white tips sharks in crevices and rays.
The Philippine’s best kept secret and the perfect escape for those who love exploring the unexplored. For over 20 years, only the locals of neighboring towns visited this hidden gem until a group of local dive instructors and dive masters decided to introduce the world to its amazing underwater life by opening Diver One Inc; the only dive center operating in the Iloilo/Aninii-y Antique/Nogas Island area.

Aninii-y, Antique, is a small fishing village located to the west of Iloilo City, the capital of Panay Island in the Visayas Region. Nogas Island is a 24-hectare government naval reservation that is 5 minutes by boat from the shoreline of Aninii-y, Antique, facing the Sulu Sea to the west.

With its casual, laid back and "homey" vibe; its beaches gradually sloping from dark to white sand, pristine reefs and exotic critters, this place will surely entertain new and experienced divers and especially those who appreciate off the beaten path places.

With our experience, comes local knowledge of the best dive spots and what each site has to offer. The area has dive sites for all levels of divers and a dive sties vary from muck and macro dives, drift dives, deep dives, shallow reef dives to swim throughs and tunnels. The marine life here is diverse and coral reefs are thriving and still intact. If you’re looking for your own piece of undiscovered diving paradise this is it.

Divesites are spread around Nogas Island and the Aninii-y shore offers great macro and night dives and the chance of seeing the endangered sea cow or locally known as the "dugong". Dives are done on outrigger boats and divesites are short boat rides from shore (about five to fifteen minutes.)

Most of the dive sites are ideal for the underwater photographer as there isn’t much traffic underwater and photographers can take their time on the subjects without any interruptions from other divers. Other activities on the island is swimming and lounging on the beach, trekking, bird watching and snorkeling. Because the area is still not fully developed to accommodate the usual tourist pack, this place is more for the diver only. Although, since it is only a two and a half hour drive from Iloilo City, you can dive Nogas Island on a day trip.

Anini-iy is also accessible to and from Boracay Island which is only a three hour drive. Visiting Anini-iy and Boracay Island would be a wonderful way to experience two totally different places in one trip.
