This is a shallow wreck that ran aground in September, 1888. She was a 136’ wooden schooner carrying grain, stone, and lumber. I’m short on time today but feel free to add info if anybody has any to share about this site!
I dove it from the shore in late June, 2012, and the water level was down a bit (6’-7’) so I really could’ve seen everything I needed to see just skin diving with a snorkel, but I hit a max depth of about 22’, so you will have nearly unlimited bottom time on this wreck if you so choose to dive it. The wreck is broken up pretty badly, and there is nothing to penetrate. Rock bass, crappies, bluegill, and smallmouth bass were in the area while I was diving. Not an impressive wreck, but a great way to kill a lazy morning or afternoon! :)
