I’ve dove Hammond before. The break wall isn’t bad. It’s shallow, about 16 feet, but can have some nice fish on it. Just watch to make sure you stay close, and don’t go in the Marina at all. They get really ticked at that! I’ve had one guard hassle us, telling us we can’t be there. But the reality is, we’re on the beach, not their property so there isn’t much they can do. And it was just him. Rest were really nice. No problems. There is a boat off the shore. If the water’s calm, you can see the shadow. Not the easiest to see when you’re in the water. I’ve missed it more times than I’ve hit it. And don’t forget your dive flag.
